Photography Reception for Mary Beth Cysewski

with HaLe’               Saturday May 6th   1:00-4:00 pm

Mary Beth Cysewski has lived in Nashville since 1986 and in the Hillsboro Village neighborhood since 1998. From January to March 2016 Mary Beth photographed Hillsboro Village: the people; buildings-inside and out; and the iconic signs and symbols that give Hillsboro Village its undeniable charm ie., the Belcourt Theatre; Pangea store front window; Village Cleaners; Fido coffee shop and others. With the encouragement of her mentor/editor, Peter Nash, she photographed aspects of the Village that “caught [her] eye, spoke to [her], made [her] think or laugh out loud.” Times are changing the face of Nashville, may these photographs reflect a generation of people and place.
Mary Beth would like you to know that she has many other photographs from this project so feel free to contact her for viewing or purchase. She is also available for hire; portraits; commercial or residential; and events.

Remember, Recover, Resist: A Yoga Workshop

with Jane House               Saturday May 20th  2:00-4:30 pm

Register before May 13th for a Free Class with Jane at HaLe’!
As we drop into the realm of bodily wisdom and practice, many of us are coming to understand that our worldly activism, if it’s to be honest, is directly limited to how landed, integrated, and current we are on the inside. We begin to define ourselves and our true power from the inside out, instead of backwards. We do the work, the insights come. But too often, we seem to lack the space and time for the body to integrate all that is coming toward us…all we are fielding, realizing, and uncovering. And here’s the thing: We can’t do this alone. In this workshop, we will take the time to catch-up the ourselves. We will allow time and space for our insides to catch up to our outsides. We will metabolize whatever it is that is changing in us (or wants to change in us). We will tell our deepest bodily understanding of our life’s purpose by answering the question, “Who am I today?” from the inside out, instead of backwards.

$45, Register before May 13th for a free class with Jane at HaLe’!
