Restorative Yoga & Sound Healing

Meditation is the practice of personal observation, gentle concentration and inner awareness to bring about a sense of profound peace. Through meditating, we can learn to quiet and calm the mind, relax the body, and restore an overall sense of well-being.
This workshop will lead you through a form of guided meditation called “yoga nidra” that induces a state of deep, but conscious relaxation that exists in the space between sleep and awake. In this lucid sleep state, you can experience complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.
While experiencing the restorative “yoga nidra “meditation technique, you will also be immersed in a soothing sound bath created by the healing tones of Tibetan singing bowls to heighten this deeply relaxing mind-body experience.
No experience is necessary as this is a practice suitable for everybody. Please dress comfortable and invite yourself to an afternoon of gentle self-care.

Yamuna Body Rolling®

April 28: Feet, Foundation, Alignment & Standing: We start with an exploration of the feet and legs, looking at alignment in standing to uncover patterns in other types of movement. We will take the feet through a variety of routines to bring back healthy foot function and re-create the foundation that holds the body upright.

Yamuna® Body Rolling (YBR®) is an intelligent self-care modality based on experiential anatomy and yoga principles that allows you to get underneath your compensatory habits and imbalances to recover from injury and / or to improve posture and increase the efficiency in your body mechanics. In YBR®, we use various sized balls and focus on particular areas of the body to help activate what is underused and reduce the impact on what is overused. We move slowly to release tension in the body, rebalance muscles and realign joints.The work is organic and integrative so you make change at your body’s own pace. YBR® techniques are preventive and rehabilitative so over time, you can help your body become sustainable no matter what you do or how you use it.

The practice is a great complement to yoga, pilates, and any other movement practice or exercise routine. The work offers an interesting way for teachers and students to experience anatomy and to bring that somatic awareness into everyday activities.

For those working on other bodies – LMTs. PTs, chiropractors – there is intelligent self-care as well as plenty of tools that you can use with clients to make your work last longer. And for those needing rehab, the classes provide integrative and restorative routines and tools to help you work from the inside out.

All levels are welcome and no prior experience is necessary. Please pre-register of one or all Saturdays through Ha Le.

The format of these classes is live online instruction with in studio assistance. Meg will lead each class and Ha.Le’ staff will be in the studio to offer general guidance. If you have your own Yamuna balls, please bring them to use during class; there are also some Yamuna sets available for use during the class if you don’t have your own.

Breema Weekend in Nashville

Breema—a simple, natural form of touch, body movement, and principles—aids in raising our level of consciousness from “mechanical” to “receptive.” We work with body-mind connection, with the aim of a tangible experience of being present—the foundation for a new dimension of health, consciousness, and self-understanding.
The nonjudgmental and nurturing atmosphere of Breema is a joy that fills up the heart, relaxes the body, and clears the mind.
This workshop is ideal for everyone who would like to have a way to bring more presence, balance, and nurturing to daily life, home life, or professional practice. No prior experience necessary. Breema is a floor-based practice. Please be able to sit and kneel on the floor comfortably.

Two Day Thai Yoga Massage Workshop

                                     with Charlene Gaffney        May 19-20

Learn a one hour thai massage sequence for the mat. Watch demonstrations then practice with a partner. Multiple reviews of sequence and flow are presented throughout each training day. You will also learn about the history of thai massage along with some basic theory. Proper body mechanics and safe application of technique are also addressed. We will warm up Saturday morning with some basic hatha yoga instruction to get us moving and ready to learn more.

(14 CE credits) Approved in MS, AL, GA, TN, and all states accepting the NCTMB credential for massage therapists. Class is also open to couples, friends, yoga instructors, athletes, and anyone wishing to share this beautiful healing art and learn more about the benefits for existing health and wellness practices.

Walk of Empowerment

9 Days, 8 Nights   Meet in Paris!

We will meet for our first night in Paris, then take the high speed train to St. Jean to begin our practice together. Averaging 8 miles a day, we will walk a total of 38 miles from St. Jean to Pamplona along the Camino de Santiago. Liz and Janice will lead you in daily gentle yoga and self-care techniques to nourish and deepen your experience. This empowering journey expands your knowledge of what is possible as you explore this ancient pilgrim road on your own two feet.

$2100 includes shared lodgings, Pilgrim dinners, & yoga and self-care.

$3100 (total) Extend the trip until Sept 9th to also walk the Camino from Astorga to O’Cebreiro and visit the cathedral in Santiago!
