After nearly ten years of teaching yoga and managing a big studio in San Francisco, Jane walked away with an equation born from experience: Anatomy=Psychology=Spirituality. Simply put, Posture Matters and is also the perfect place to work for change. Yoga practice is nothing more than a CONVERSATION we have with ourselves about waking up, standing up, and making our bodies a nice & spacious place to live.
Jane has studied Hatha Yoga in depth with master teachers Patricia Walden, Barbara Benaugh, Rodney Yee, Angela Farmer, Tony Briggs & Sofia Diaz, and feels fortunate to have been surrounded by such hard-working lineage-holders. She also has a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, a B.A. in English Literature & Psychology from Georgetown University, and completed a thesis titled “The Yoga of Embodiment” which is available to download (for free) at janehouseyoga.com.
