Physician Acupuncturist

Dr. Meyer is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician.  He spent eleven years practicing as a general Internist – 7 years as a primary care provider (in both private practice and academic settings) and 4 years as a hospitalist.  In 2016, he decided to expand his scope of practice and study acupuncture. He completed Harvard’s 300-hour International Structural Acupuncture Course for Physicians in 2017.  He then took a position in the Wounded Warrior Clinic at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda — providing acupuncture to injured service members.  He has continued his acupuncture education by studying with Kiiko Matsumoto, Jeffrey Yuen and Lonny Jarrett. He has additional training in the Tan Balance Method, Battlefield acupuncture and the NADA protocol.   He enjoys practicing acupuncture because the longer appointments allow him to listen carefully to his patients and tailor the treatments to their needs. He is excited to be part of the Ha.Lé team.
